Junior 2 classes stress more of the traditional Japanese Karate protocol. Kids are trained in easy to remember self-defense "moves". plus powerful strikes, kicks and blocks. When a student learns a skill, they get a promotion towards their next goal--either a stripe or new color belt. This motivates students to work towards the long-term goal of Black Belt!
Karate is not just for self-defense. The primary goal of Karate is to train the student to a achieve a lifetime of fitness. Because training is gradual, exciting, and fun "gym burnout" is seldom an issue.
